A solid craftsmanship
Our Moroccan ceramics are hand-turned and hand-painted. Color differences may occur and that is part of the charm.
The ceramics we sell are made from lead-free clay, which is not always the case with ceramics from Morocco.
The ceramic is excellent as a meal ceramic and can be washed in the dishwasher.
The pottery is not oven safe, as it may crack. The pottery is made of red clay according to old tradition.
Each step is made by hand by different craftsmen.

The clay is chopped into small pieces and then placed in water to soften.

After that, the clay is pressed into suitable pieces to fit on the lathe.

Several bowls are then made from each piece.

The bowls are dried for a couple of days before being dipped in white paint.

Each bowl is then hand-painted in different patterns and colors.

Once the paint has dried, each product is dipped in glaze.

Once the glaze has dried, they are fired in a 1020 degree oven for 12 hours and then allowed to cool.
Then back in the oven for 9 hours and the glaze fuses with the object, forming a beautiful surface.
This is how the clay has become ceramics.

Each product is checked and packed and sent to us in Sweden before it ends up in your home.
Incredible, right?
